Since most of you are in lands far, far away, Devlin and I thought the best way to keep you all informed and up-to-date on Little Levin was to create this blog. We hope you enjoy!

One Whole Month Old....Wow!

How the time flies! We can't believe a whole month has gone by already. Raleigh had his one month check up on Thursday the 9th and weighed in at 8lbs on the dot. The doctor is happy with his weight gain and all other body parts and functions checked out perfectly too! Devlin is excited that Raleigh hit the 8lb mark because now he can use the Jeep baby carrier to cart him around. Fun times! You'll notice we opted for the pacifier or "binky" in this picture. Since we are pumping and giving him the breast milk in the bottle instead of straight breast feeding, the pacifer won't interfer with any type of latching. It definitely satisfies his need to suck between feedings and also is linked to lowering the risk of SIDS (per our pediatrician). Thanks Kathleen and Bryce for the cool sailboat and butterfly pacies!

The clothes he is wearing are size 0-3 months. As you can see, they are still a bit roomy! He is just now fitting into newborn size clothes but we just roll up the sleeves and the pant legs in the 0-3 month.

This is the classic "milk coma" position. The child didn't even have time to close his mouth before it set in! Looks like he is flagging down a taxi cab or karate chopping some villains (like Brennen used to do)! His legs look so silly....where did they go?

This is the "lets kick Mama in the face with our feet" game. He's very good at it and very strong. Even the pediatrician made a comment about how strong he was already. She didn't mention his temper this time so maybe we are improving in that area?

This is the "double wammy" super kick!

The excitement sparked a bit of pukey. Ewwwww....

Love this pic!

Say "cheese" Papa!

Check out how long Raleigh's hair is in the back! Pretty soon he'll have a mullet. Papa's excited about that. Then we can call him Billy Ray Raleigh.

I'm gettin' all growns up!

  1. I know! It's crazy! He actually could hold his head up briefly since the day he came home from the hospital but now he can REALLY hold his head up. He's a super cute sweet pea.
