Devlin and I had a fantastic Labor Day Weekend. We had just the right amount of activity and the perfect amount of rest and relaxation. We spent Sunday-day getting the nursery in order (we aren't done yet but will post pics as soon as we are!). Devlin had a blast loading up the new shed with tools, yard tools, and odds and ends. What is it with little boys and their tools? We also took a nice long nap right in the middle of the afternoon. That was heaven. We woke up quite hungry (who'd of thought?) and decided to head to the grocery to pick out some steaks to grill. I opted for the sirloin while Dev chose a more manly steak, the bone-in ribeye! Dev marinated them in a jerk seasoning with honey and minced garlic and we grilled them with some veggies. I was able to find some fresh cherries so I put together a cherry crisp for dessert. Then we sat on the front porch and finished the night up with conversation and relaxation! This morning we opted for the beach. Probably the last time we'll go this summer but maybe not. It tends to stay nice here through November. Check out the pics of our last few days....

I am no longer just belly but now butt as well. Babys got back! Ewwww.

These are our steaks that Devlin marinated in jerk, honey, garlic, and olive oil. Mines the little one on the right. I wanted to save room for dessert!

Finished product! Perfection!

Mid-rare....mmmmmmm.....
Homemade cherry crisp with a scoop of frozen yogurt.
Again, Devlin trying to top my belly with no luck. I am the WINNER (for now)!
30 weeks, Wow! You look wonderful. You look happy and well rested. So glad you guys enjoyed the weekend. We did too. Can you believe Sam turned 1 1/2 today. A year and a half ago, I was 30 weeks pregnant. Crazy! Take care lil' Mama.
ReplyDeleteStop posting pics of all that delicious-looking food! I'm starving! Well at least Raleigh is getting all the nutrition he needs. (But I need some too.) ;) You guys look great - love the shed, and the belly and all the food. Miss you guys.
