30 Weeks and Crawfish Boil!!

Home stretch baby! We are in the third and FINAL trimester and can finally see the finish line! I am so glad because if I get any fatter, none of my work blazers will fit (I'm already squeezing into them) and I'll have to go shopping AGAIN for clothes I won't wear but for two or less months. Geez! I've gained around 30 lbs (notice I said AROUND 30 lbs :), could be more!) and I'm ready to get back to my pre-baby size. Apparently my belly will double in size over the next two months because the baby will double in size. He should be around 3lbs right now. I'm getting sick of seeing pictures of myself and saying, "Who is that fat kid? Oh wait, that's just me and Raleigh and that whole pizza I ate earlier!" Uggggh. We had a blast last night at our friend's Kirsten and Blair's crawfish boil. Check out the pics!

Devlin was in charge of the boil. This is what's known as the "bath". I believe it consists of fresh lemons and limes, garlic, beer, old bay, crab boil seasoning, and I forget what else.

Here it is coming to a nice rolling boil. At this point, the corn, potatoes, and sausage have been added.

Now the crawfish!

The result....?

A table full of delicious-ness! We boiled 30 lbs of these suckers and ate all but a few.

Here is yours truley, miss fatty, and Devlin doing what they call "sucking the head" of the crawfish. When you pinch the head off the little bug you are supposed to suck the juices out of it. He is a master.

The aftermath....just a pile of bones!

We finally got our mini-shed built in the backyard. Now we can get the nursery ready because it originally was our inside storage shed! We will paint the shed the same green as the house and paint the door red, to match the house of course.

If you look carefully, you will see Frannie. Frannie is our morning glory vine who was donated to us so graciously by our neighbor. We are training Frannie to grow and cover our arbor. She's gonna be cool! She gets big beautiful purple flowers and stays green all year.
