29 Week Check-Up

Good morning all! We just had our 29 week check-up. Though I will not hear back about the glucose (gestational diabetes) test for 24 hours, everything else went very well. The baby is head down already. The doctor says he most likely will stay that way from this point on because he is almost 3 lbs and it is more difficult for them to change positions at this point (less room for them to move easily). So he's ready to go! The purple looking bruise thingy on my left shin and ankle turned out to be a busted blood vessel from the pressure the babe is putting on my veins in my legs. It's a form of vericose veins. The doctor says it will probably get worse and a bit more painful but will ease up after the babe comes. To get rid of it completely, I will most likely have to go to a vein doctor where they make an incision and clamp the busted vessel. Yuck! Or I could just spend the rest of my life looking like my husband beats me with a baseball bat! Hmmmm....I think I'll have it fixed!
