How cute is this picture?! Well....we've had good and bad this week with Mr. Raleigh. Good news....he has moved up to Room 8 (the beginner walkers room) at daycare! Nice job son! In this room they are introduced to all sorts of new foods including cheese toast, eggs, pancakes, fruits, grits, chicken nuggets, spaghetti, ravioli, and pizza! Of course, Raleigh won't eat any of those things just yet but I'm sure he'll gain interest soon enough.
In room 8 they also sleep on very low to the ground cots and a state certified bedroll as opposed to the crib. I'm not sure how they keep my kid on that little cot but they tell me he does fine. They also start doing away with the bottle and using the sippie cup. We are working on this. Mr. Raleigh doesn't want to hold his own bottle yet. Not because he can't....more like because he won't!
On a bad note....we can't get rid of his double ear infection and pink eye. He received a hefty dose of antiobiotic in shot form 2 weeks ago at the doctor followed by 10 days of augmentin, both of which are very strong antibiotics. He finished the augmentin on Tuesday. By today (Friday) we were back at the doctor. His ears are still severly infected and the pink eye is due to the backed up fluid and congestion from the ears. They are doing one last ditch effort to clear it up with 3 days in a row of antibiotic shots in each leg however they fear the infection is not clearing up due to the fluid not being able to drain properly. Most likely, he will need tubes in his ears to help drain the fluid. We will know for sure on Tuesday but it's not looking good....
Yes, my child eats lemons!
Here he is playing with his the box to his new big boy car seat (which we don't like and are returning).
