To All Of Our Friends And Family

Since most of you are in lands far, far away, Devlin and I thought the best way to keep you all informed and up-to-date on Little Levin was to create this blog. We hope you enjoy!

Pics from this week

I may "love mommy" but I sure look like Papa!
Don't you just want to cuddle with him?!

A new version of the "milk coma"....

Up close....
We are doing great here at the Levin household. Raleigh had his first 5 1/2 hour sleeping stretch two nights ago. We were shocked! Of course he hasn't done it since but is still doing good with 4 or 3 hour stretches. We've been working on a bedtime routine which is bath, bottle (while being rocked in the glider with Papa reading a book), and bed. He seems to not have any issues going to sleep at 8pm every night and sleeping anywhere from 3-5 hours that first stretch. He will wake, eat a bottle and go right back to bed for another stretch. He does that 2 or 3 times throughout the night but as long as it is dark out, he seems to know it is still night time and goes back to bed.
Raleigh is turning out to be such a happy baby. Who'd have thought when all of his baby pictures have a permanent scowl and pouty face!? He smiles all the time, laughs, coos, talks to you and just seems to enjoy himself. We are AMAZED. We truly thought we had a grumper on our hands but looks like no. He's a very happy baby.
I went to get coffee yesterday morning with a friend of mine and Raleigh woke up about 10 minutes after we got there. I was about to freak out not knowing what he would do but he was so pleasant! I just took him out of his car seat and propped him up on the couch we were sitting on and he looked around, cooed, and just enjoyed himself. Wow! My friend was like, "He's such a happy baby!" and I was like, "Yeah, I'm shocked!".
Devlin and I are still getting used to being new parents. We are working out things like "when do we get quality time together" and "what time of the day can we work out?" I haven't quite figured that one out yet! I have lost some of the baby weight however. I am 15 pounds more than my pre-pregnancy weight which I think is pretty darn good. I did have to buy some new work clothes because my stuff no longer fits (particularly in the ahh hmmm....boobie region!). Hopefully as I loose the 15 lbs, 10 of them will be from my breasts!
I go back to work on January 31st. It is a bitter sweet feeling. Raleigh's daycare is just 3 minutes from my office so I will spend lunches with him until I feel more comfortable. For now, I am enjoying my last two weeks at home with him and getting as much cuddle time as possible!
