39 Weeks

We had an interesting morning at the doctor today. The appointment started off well as we learned that we are 2cm dilated! ACTION! Ask and you shall recieve! However, the baby seems to be very high up and not engaging or "dropping". They ordered an ultrasound to make sure the baby isn't too big for my little frame, thinking that may be the reason why his head is not dropping. All was well there though. They estimate him to be between 6lb 8oz and 7 lbs, give or take a few. During the ultrasound they decided that I had low amniotic fluid. Apparently the numbers should be between 10 and 20 and my fluid is at 7.3. So, from there, they put me on a non-stress fetal monitor test to make sure the baby's heart beat was continuously doing well....which it is. Also, it monitors contractions and I was not having any. So the final outcome is that the baby is just fine but needs to drop in order to deliver (obviously). We are going back on Monday morning for another check if he doesn't come by then. Have a great weekend and we will keep you all posted! Yay for 2cm!!!!!!!!!!
