July 4th Weekend: Livin it up it Nashville!

What a spectacular July 4th weekend! We arrived in Nashville, well Dickson, to a wonderful baby shower hosted by Devlin's parents, Priscilla and Gary. Not only did we get to spend some needed time with the family (which was GREAT!) but we also made out with some major loot! After stuffing ourselves with BBQ, potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw, water melon, and cake, (yum!) we dug into the baby gifts. Let's see, Raleigh now has his bouncer seat, his crib set and sheets, his car seat, his jogger stroller, his light weight stroller, lots of clothes, bathtub, toys, etc. I know I'm leaving so many things out. He's one lucky kid. We then made it to Scot and Monica's for the remainder of the weekend for some grillin and chillin. You know I have to talk about the food again. Of course we had hot pot, which is a traditional Taiwanese dish where you boil broth in the middle of a table and everyone chooses which raw meats, seafoods, veggies, and noodles they want. You can add a little of one thing or a lot of another and you throw it in the broth for just a minute, then enjoy. The best part is the vinegar, garlic, Asian bbq dipping sauce that you make yourself. Mmmmmmmm. We also had fried udon noodles, grilled lamb, and crab stuffed jalapenos the next night. We are 22 weeks today and things are moving right along. The baby is a little dance machine especially at night right before I go to bed. I can now feel him kicking with my hand on the belly instead of just inside. It's pretty cool. Devlin has yet to catch it but I'm sure he will soon. This Sunday we go for the tour of the hospital. Apparently they answer all of your questions and you can see the rooms and all the fun gadgets. Well, I don't know how fun the gadgets will be. We are also signed up for lamaze (spelling?) starting sept. 7th once a week through October something-ith. Good thing I wrote it down! Pregnancy yoga turned out to be a bust. Don't ask....
