6 Month Date Night

Can you believe we are 24 weeks already? Time is flying by. People tell me though that the last three months can be dreadfully slow....we shall see. Our 6 month check-up went well. I have gained 18 lbs so far and am right on track with that. Raleigh's heartbeat was perfect and Dr. says he is pleased with everything so far. My next appointment (28 weeks) is where they do the gestational diabetes test. Apparently I will drink a big sugery, syrupy liquid, wait one hour and then have my blood tested. In the meantime, the Dr. is supposed to take that opportunity to start identifying which of Raleigh's body parts are where. Is his head towards my feet or my chest, where's his little booty at, etc.? Should be exciting. All he has to do now is gain more weight. All of his little parts are in order. He should weigh around 1.4 lbs right now and the last three months he will gain, gain, gain. Also, they said he looks just like he'll look when he's born but not as plump!

Devlin and I had a lovely 6 months celebration date night last night. We had originally intended to go to Corleons for Italian but changed our minds last minute. One of our favorite pubs, Circa 1875 (that's the name of the pub) had just started serving food, French food to be exact....our FAVORITE. It was delicious! (Kirsten and Blair, we took one for the team and tested it out. We approve!) We shared the pate plate and split a prime rib sandwhich on a bagette with smoked gruyere cheese. We then had strawberry rhubarb pie. It had to be the best pie I ever had. I wish I had it for breakfast this morning instead of that lame cereal. Afterwards we went to our favorite watering hole (though I did not water), Jen's and Friends. It was fun visiting our friends and catching up. We are heading to Philly in a few weeks for the baby shower. Can't wait to see you all then!

  1. Wow, 24 weeks! That is hard to believe. You're in the home stretch now. :) Don't stress the diabetes test...you'll be fine. And that drink will really get Raleigh movin' around.
